will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord"
(Exodus

The religion of ancient Egypt is very difficult to analyze, for the Egyptians were one of the most polytheistic people of antiquity. The total number of their gods is uncertain, but most lists include at least 80. Most living creatures and many inanimate objects became the embodiment of some deity (Romans 1:23), and even Pharaoh himself was considered to be divine, on Egyptian pantheon (Exodus 5:2).
